About the role#
Navitas Systems, LLC is seeking a Power BI & Analytics Intern to join the Business Intelligence & Systems (BIS) team. This position offers hands-on experience in data visualization, business analysis, and ETL development within a manufacturing environment. You will work with the BIS team to build and maintain dashboards that provide insights to stakeholders in operations, finance, and supply chain.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Clean, transform, and analyze large datasets from sources including SQL Server, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Collaborate with business units, IT, and the BIS team to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Support the development of data models, including star schemas and DAX measures.
- Document datasets, transformations, business logic, and internal processes.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to ensure report accuracy.
- Contribute to data pipelines and automation efforts under the guidance of senior team members.
- Manage work items and track progress using Jira.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Service, including report creation and basic DAX.
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server, including the ability to write SELECT queries, joins, filters, and aggregations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint for document management.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar work management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
