About the role#
This surgery internship at Mission Veterinary Emergency & Specialty focuses on surgical rotations under the guidance of four board certified surgeons and one residency trained surgeon. The program aims to build the skills necessary for a surgical residency. Interns work alongside specialists in internal medicine, critical care, cardiology, oncology, neurology, and anesthesiology. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Mission, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Participate in surgical rotations under board certified and residency trained surgeons.
- Attend weekly surgical education rounds.
- Provide intensive 24-hour monitoring and nutritional support to patients.
- Interact with clients to provide quality medicine.
What you'll need#
- DVM/VMD or equivalent degree.
- Ability to obtain Kansas veterinary medical licensure.
- Excellent work ethic and enthusiasm.
- Work authorization in the United States.
