About the role#
The Supplier Quality Intern will work with the Supplier Quality team to evaluate supplier performance, analyze metrics, and identify improvement opportunities. This role offers hands-on experience with quality processes and data-driven decision making within a chemical manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and analyze supplier quality and performance data from various sources.
- Evaluate trends regarding quality, delivery, responsiveness, and corrective actions.
- Assist in root cause analysis of supplier responses to performance scorecards.
- Review and update supplier master data to ensure each supplier has a designated Quality Contact.
- Drive and support the raw material Out of Specification (OOS) inflow reduction process.
- Complete reports and presentations that outline your analysis, findings, and recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Chemistry, Biology, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks between May and August 2027.
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in quality, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis tools is a plus.
- Ability to document new processes and procedures with attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams including Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
