About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work with the global healthcare sales, marketing, and technology team at Momentive. You will focus on identifying strategic growth areas for silicone materials, including elastomers, gels, fluids, and adhesives. This role is designed for an engineering student interested in learning how technical expertise applies to marketing and commercial strategy.
What you'll do#
- Research market growth trends and competitive products within the silicone healthcare sector.
- Collaborate with Product Management to understand current and future manufacturing capabilities.
- Analyze Momentive's strengths and weaknesses across specific healthcare subsegments.
- Develop SWOT analyses on key strategies to present to the commercial team.
- Conduct technical application development work, such as testing silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives for skin applications and performing gauge R&R studies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, preferably Chemical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong organization and presentation skills to share findings with the team.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team under supervision.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks between May and August 2027.
- Medical device experience is a plus but not required.
