About the role#
The Tampa Bay Veterinary Medical Group externship provides an in-hospital learning opportunity for veterinary students. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside our veterinary team in a clinical setting. Programs typically last between 2 and 6 weeks, depending on your availability and school requirements.
What you'll do#
- Work with patients alongside our veterinary team members.
- Participate in procedures for routine care.
- Assist with procedures during urgent care situations.
- Engage directly with our clientele.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current veterinary student pursuing a degree in Biology or Biomedical Sciences.
- You are a self-motivated individual who takes initiative in your education.
- You possess the ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
- You maintain a high sense of urgency regarding patient care.

- This role is located in Tampa, Florida.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid externship.
