    About the role#

    The Compensation Assistant is a part-time Federal Work Study position. You will support the Compensation Team by reviewing, updating, and standardizing job descriptions across the university. This role involves working closely with HR business partners and leadership to ensure documentation is accurate and aligned with compensation frameworks.

    What you'll do#

    • Collect and organize existing job descriptions.
    • Review job descriptions for consistency in format, language, and structure.
    • Update job descriptions to reflect current duties, responsibilities, and requirements.
    • Input job description information into the HRIS system.
    • Maintain the job description database and tracking tools.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a student at National University.
    • Completed current FAFSA.
    • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
    • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • Foundational understanding of human resources policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Experience with HRIS systems is preferred.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Location & details#

    • This position is remote.
    • Employment is part-time.
    • This is a rolling term position.
    • Compensation is $17.00 to $19.00 per hour.
