About the role#
As an Information Security Student with Nasdaq Verafin, you will gain hands-on experience by collaborating with security analysts to secure cloud environments. You will be paired with a mentor and have access to professional development sessions throughout the program. This role is designed to help you build technical skills and professional networks in a supportive environment.
What you'll do#
- Learn to assess risks related to vulnerability and cloud security posture.
- Analyze and prioritize security vulnerabilities found in cloud infrastructure.
- Coordinate remediation efforts and enforce Cloud Security Posture Management findings.
- Collaborate with security and operational teams to meet security standards.
- Evaluate and improve security processes and tools to strengthen the overall security posture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a diploma or degree program in Security Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A strong desire to learn about threat and vulnerability management, container security, and logging tools.
- Analytical skills and a curiosity about how security protects technology.
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
- A commitment to continuous learning and developing security best practices.
- You must include a copy of your most recent transcript with your resume to be considered.
- Familiarity with AWS, Infrastructure as Code, or security certifications like Security+ or CEH is considered an asset.

- Term: Winter 2027.
- Locations: St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador or Toronto, Ontario.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the office.
- Employment Type: Full time, paid position.
