About the role#
MTS is seeking an Investment Banking Summer Analyst for the Summer 2028 term. This role supports the firm advisory team across various transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, royalty monetizations, and capital markets activities. You will work on an appropriately staffed team and receive direct exposure to deal execution and senior bankers.
What you'll do#
- Conduct company and industry research.
- Perform financial and valuation analyses, including DCF, LBO, M&A, accretion/dilution, and comparable company analysis.
- Create business profiles and prepare industry overviews for healthcare subsectors.
- Build detailed financial models for valuation and other financial analysis.
- Prepare marketing documents such as pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda, management presentations, fairness opinions, and board presentations.
- Conduct extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate risk and return parameters.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment at a top rated institution, specifically college juniors graduating in December 2028 or May 2029.
- Academic background in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Knowledge of corporate finance.
- Demonstrated leadership in academics and extracurricular activities.
- Keen attention to detail and excellent judgment.
- A strong desire to work in investment banking and an interest in the healthcare industry.
- Commitment to contributing to the team culture at MTS.
