About the role#
Copper Run is hiring for a full-time Buy-Side M&A Investment Banking Internship for Summer 2027. This role is based in our Cleveland office. You will work directly with our deal team to gain experience across the M&A lifecycle. This is an on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Support deal team members in driving engagements forward.
- Research acquisition targets and gather contact information.
- Evaluate targets to determine their fit with client acquisition strategies.
- Conduct direct outreach to executives and senior leadership to generate deal conversations.
- Maintain and update prospect data in our CRM system.
- Create marketing materials, including letters, teasers, and pitch decks.
- Sit in on intro calls, client updates, and cold calls to observe professional communication.
What you'll need#
- You are a currently enrolled college student, with a preference for Juniors and Seniors.
- Coursework in finance, accounting, marketing, sales, or business administration.
- Previous work experience where you excelled in your duties.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5 is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn company-specific software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- A fundamental understanding of financial statements.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and a team-player mentality.
- Curiosity and a commitment to learning.
