About the role#
Copper Run is hiring for a part-time Buy-Side M&A Investment Banking Internship for Winter 2027. This role provides direct exposure to the deal lifecycle and hands-on experience working alongside our investment banking professionals in Cleveland. This is a paid, on-site position for currently enrolled college students.
What you'll do#
- Support deal team members in driving engagements forward.
- Conduct market research to identify acquisition targets that match client profiles.
- Assist in evaluating acquisition targets and scoping their fit to client strategies.
- Manage direct outreach to executives and senior leadership to generate deal conversations.
- Maintain and update target and prospect data within the CRM system.
- Assist in developing marketing materials, including letters, teasers, and pitch decks.
- Participate in intro calls, client updates, and cold calls to observe professional communication strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student, with a strong preference for Juniors and Seniors.
- Completed college-level coursework in finance, accounting, marketing, sales, or business administration.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5 is preferred.

- Compensation: Paid internship at $15.00 per hour.
