About the role#
Movado Group is looking for a law student to join our Legal Department. You will gain hands-on exposure to the operations of a global public company. This role involves working closely with our attorneys and cross-functional teams on regulatory compliance, legal research, and day-to-day advisory support for business stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Review and synthesize statutes, regulations, and other legal materials to identify requirements relevant to the company.
- Prepare implementation guidance documents and help develop prioritized action plans.
- Maintain and update our global register of key laws.
- Create documentation to support legal compliance and assist in building systems for ongoing management, including areas like customs, product safety, data privacy, and environmental disclosures.
- Use existing templates to draft commercial contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide practical, risk-based legal guidance.
- Provide general support on various legal projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Prior corporate or in-house experience is preferred, and project management experience is a plus.
