About the role#
The Part-Time Student Custodian (Women's Day Crew) maintains the cleanliness and upkeep of campus facilities. This role involves working across various campus spaces including bathrooms, offices, classrooms, hallways, and stairwells. This is a part-time position with hours ranging from 10 to 20 hours per week during semesters, increasing to 38.75 hours per week during academic breaks. Availability for overtime during certain yearly events is required.
What you'll do#
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Vacuum and spot clean carpets.
- Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling.
- Clean walls, windows, and various surfaces.
- Maintain and restock supplies in assigned areas.
- Operate custodial equipment, including carpet extractors, floor machines, and wet vacuums.
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize required safety equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time student status at MBI or MTS.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and walking for the majority of the workday.
- Previous experience cleaning and using custodial equipment is preferred.
