About the role#
This part-time position involves maintaining campus facilities during the night shift. The role requires physical activity across various campus spaces, including offices, classrooms, hallways, and stairwells. Work hours are 10-20 hours per week during semesters and 38.75 hours per week during academic breaks. Availability for overtime during specific yearly events is required.
What you'll do#
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Vacuum carpets and remove spots.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Dispose of trash and recycling materials.
- Clean walls, windows, and various surfaces.
- Maintain stock levels in assigned areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize appropriate safety equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at MBI or MTS.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to push or pull carts, gondolas, and heavy equipment.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
- Previous experience cleaning and using custodial equipment is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic custodial tools such as mops, vacuums, and specialized cleaning machinery.
