About the role#
This part-time position supports the campus maintenance team as a member of the Men's Day Crew. You will be responsible for the general cleanliness and upkeep of assigned campus areas, including classrooms, offices, hallways, and bathrooms.
What you'll do#
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Vacuum carpets and treat spots as needed.
- Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
- Dispose of trash and recycling materials.
- Clean walls, windows, and various surfaces.
- Maintain supply stocks in assigned areas.
- Operate custodial equipment, including floor machines, carpet extractors, and wet vacuums.
- Follow all safety protocols and use required safety equipment.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current full-time student of MBI or MTS.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, crouching, and climbing.
- Previous experience cleaning and using custodial equipment is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site at the campus.
- Work schedule is 10 to 20 hours per week during the semester and 38.75 hours per week during breaks.
- Availability for overtime during certain yearly events is required.
