About the role#
As a Quality Management Intern at the Waterford, New York site, you will work with the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams. You will support projects focused on improving quality processes, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role involves hands-on experience with manufacturing quality systems, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
What you'll do#
- Create process maps for QC and QA workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Plan and execute process improvements and identify long-term changes.
- Assist with AS9100 and NADCAP certification activities.
- Develop a training plan for onboarding new Product Quality Engineers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of basic statistics or completion of university-level mathematics courses.
- Ability to document new processes and procedures with high attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
Location & details#
- Location: Waterford, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks between May and August.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour.
