About the role#
The Artificial Intelligence Technology and Systems Group focuses on developing machine learning algorithms and systems to analyze multimedia data and address cybersecurity challenges. This role involves contributing to research that impacts national security and supports the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. The work emphasizes operational relevance by designing and evaluating systems using realistic datasets to ensure technology transitions into mission-critical environments.
What you'll do#
- Develop machine learning algorithms for cybersecurity applications.
- Evaluate AI and ML systems using realistic datasets and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with intelligence analysts and cyber operators to refine technology.
- Contribute to research initiatives focused on AI assurance and operations in the information environment.
- Facilitate the transition of developed technologies into mission-critical systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Enrollment at a college or university with a formal co-op program.
- Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as Python or R.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques.
