About the role#
The Iowa Wild is looking for a Social Media Intern to help shape our digital presence. You will work closely with our Manager of Digital Media to develop content and execute our social strategy. This is a part-time, seasonal role that requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays to support team coverage.
What you'll do#
- Create, edit, schedule, and post content across all team social media channels including X, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and others.
- Attend home games, community events, player appearances, and brand activation initiatives to capture content.
- Apply graphic design skills to build visual assets for our platforms.
- Monitor and implement current social media trends to keep our content relevant.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Film/Digital Cinematography, Creative Writing, or a related field.
- Experience with TikTok, X, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Ability to capture engaging content using cameras and iPhones.
- Experience editing photo and video content, with preference for tools like Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, or InDesign.
- Knowledge of the sport of hockey.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, and bending during events.

- This position is based on-site in Des Moines, Iowa.
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
