About the role#
This internship supports the transition of daily operations at the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum from the Minnesota Historical Society to the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. You will work under the partnership sites manager to provide administrative and on-the-ground support throughout this handover process.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support for the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum.
- Collaborate with various departments at the Minnesota Historical Society.
- Prepare and organize interpretative and training materials.
- Assist in staging the museum and historic home for the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
- Attend team meetings and communicate regularly with the partnership sites manager.
- Participate in three in-person professional development seminars and deliver a final presentation on May 23, 2027.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- Degree pursuit or completion in History, Public History, Museum Studies, Education, or Business Management.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with GoogleSuite or a willingness to learn it.
- Experience researching historical topics using primary source material.
- Reliable transportation for travel between Little Falls and the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time position based in Little Falls, Minnesota.
- The internship runs from January 19, 2027, to May 23, 2027.
- You will work 15 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday.
- This position is paid.
