About the role#
This internship supports the transition of daily operations at the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum from the Minnesota Historical Society to the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. You will work under the Partnership Sites Manager and coordinate with various departments to ensure the site is prepared for this shift. This is a part-time, temporary position running from January 19, 2027, to May 23, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support for the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum.
- Prepare and organize interpretative and training materials.
- Assist in staging the museum and historic home for the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
- Participate in regular team meetings and check-ins with the partnership sites manager.
- Collaborate across different departments at the Minnesota Historical Society.
- Attend three professional development seminars and prepare a final presentation at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, or graduation within the past 12 months.
- A degree or progress toward a degree in History, Public History, Museum Studies, Education, or Business Management.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency or a willingness to learn Google Suite.
- Experience or understanding of researching historical topics using primary sources.
- Reliable transportation, as travel to the Charles Lindbergh House and the Minnesota History Center is required.
Location & details#
- Location: Little Falls, Minnesota, with travel required to the Minnesota History Center.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 19 to May 23).
- Commitment: 15 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: Paid position at $17.02 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site.
