About the role#
Milliman is hiring Actuarial Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This program runs for 10 to 12 weeks across our U.S. Property and Casualty practices. You will work on real actuarial projects, collaborate with consultants, and receive mentorship to support your professional growth. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with pricing and reserving analyses for clients across various insurance products.
- Work closely with project teams on data analysis tasks.
- Create portions of client deliverables.
- Perform technical reviews and checking of work.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and intern social events.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, business administration, data science, or actuarial science.
- At least one actuarial exam passed at the time of application.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Experience with programming or statistical tools such as R, Python, SAS, or VBA is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
This role is available in Wakefield, MA; South Burlington, VT; Brookfield, WI; Chicago, IL; Richardson, TX; and San Francisco, CA. Work may be remote, hybrid, or on-site depending on the specific office and business unit. We will discuss specific in-office requirements during the interview process.
