About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will work on hardware projects for personal computing and cloud systems. You will join teams focused on areas like system integration, precision design, heat transfer, and product testing. This role involves working on real projects alongside teams to develop hardware components.
What you'll do#
- Create designs and verification plans for hardware features or product extensions.
- Develop basic prototype hardware components for validation and testing.
- Evaluate prototypes to optimize and mature designs.
- Conceptualize and design mechanical parts using 3D CAD software.
- Document technical details and follow established engineering procedures.
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines to develop hardware.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least one additional quarter or semester of school remaining after the internship ends.
- Experience or ability to design mechanical parts using 3D CAD software.
- Preferred: Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Preferred: At least 3 months of related technical engineering or internship experience.
