About the role#
The Data Center Solutions business unit at Microchip is hiring a Verification Intern to join the IP Design team. You will work with experienced engineers to develop next-generation storage controller SOC products. This role focuses on building verification environments and creating AI-based tools to improve productivity. This is a part-time position requiring up to 25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Write and maintain testbenches using industry-standard languages like System Verilog and UVM.
- Analyze simulation results to identify issues and collaborate with design engineers on resolutions.
- Develop automated verification environments and scripts.
- Design, implement, and integrate AI-based tools and workflows to enhance verification efficiency.
- Research new AI technologies and methodologies for ASIC verification.
- Participate in team meetings and technical reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical or Computer Engineering degree program with Senior standing or post-graduate status.
- Completed coursework in digital design and computer architecture.
- Familiarity with Verilog and System Verilog.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages including TCL, Python, and Perl.
- Ability to work up to 25 hours per week.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
