About the role#
This Manufacturing Engineer Co-op position is based at the Owens Corning plant in Blythewood, South Carolina. You will work under the mentorship of technical specialists on projects that provide hands-on experience with production issues. This role is designed to help you build technical and leadership skills in a manufacturing setting.
What you'll do#
- Lead safety initiatives within the plant.
- Execute process and product improvement projects.
- Identify and implement productivity increases and waste elimination strategies.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance efforts.
- Perform value-added projects focused on technical challenges in a production environment.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or a relevant STEM major.
- Ability to take initiative to drive results and execute goals.
- Capacity to navigate tasks creatively in a team environment.
- A desire to grow your technical and leadership capabilities in a manufacturing setting.
