About the role#
Coeur Mining is seeking a Mining Engineering student for a summer internship at the Kensington Mine. This role is based in Juneau, Alaska, and runs from May through August 2027. You will gain hands-on experience at an operating mine site while working with our Mine Engineering group.
What you'll do#
- Complete projects with a tangible impact on mine operations.
- Receive mentorship from industry professionals throughout the summer.
- Collaborate with other interns to create a group presentation on a company area of improvement.
- Participate in an expense-paid trip to our corporate office in Chicago to present your project and network with company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. program for Mining Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Standing as a junior or senior at an accredited university.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to work safely and adapt to a changing environment.

- Location: Kensington Mine, Juneau, Alaska.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: Paid at $29 per hour.
- Employment: Full-time.
- Note: This position requires working in various outdoor environmental conditions and performing physical tasks such as walking on uneven surfaces and lifting up to 50 pounds. On-site food and dormitory-style housing are provided.
