About the role#
Norsk Hydro is hiring an Engineer Intern for a summer 2026 position in Yankton, South Dakota. This is a full-time, on-site role. You will work Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm.
What you'll do#
- Support the improvement of production processes.
- Ensure teammate safety while working on the floor.
- Collaborate with internal and external team members on various projects.
- Coordinate specific projects that align with your individual skill set.
- Present your findings, process improvements, or new opportunities to the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET accredited program, with a preference for Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering students.
- Ability to work across different departments such as maintenance, reliability, quality, and sustainability.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience or ability in presenting project updates and findings.

- Location: Yankton, South Dakota.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: This position is paid and includes monthly profit sharing and a housing allowance.
