About the role#
The Mining Production Internship is a hands-on program designed to teach students the aggregates business from the ground up. You will work at a quarry or plant and gain experience in production, engineering, quality control, and administration. This is a full-time, 10 to 12-week summer program where you will take ownership of a project and develop professional skills in leadership and time management. You will primarily work in the San Antonio area and support surrounding mines.
What you'll do#
- Follow and enforce safety, environmental, and ethical standards.
- Operate and maintain plant equipment, such as crushers, screens, conveyors, and heavy off-road machinery.
- Learn the complete production process of an aggregate quarry.
- Ensure all work aligns with company policies and values.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or trade certification program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering.
- A valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable daily transportation.
- Ability to learn technical processes.
