About the role#
This internship focuses on defining and executing test processes for RF, electro-optical, and electro-mechanical systems. You will work under the guidance of team leads to contribute to integration and test activities from the assembly level through the final system level. Your work ensures that technical requirements are met while supporting operations targets.
What you'll do#
- Write test plans, procedures, reports, and requirements traceability documents.
- Design and implement test cases.
- Run functional testing at the system, CCA, and component levels.
- Set up, configure, and document hardware and software systems.
- Load software onto devices for verification and validation.
- Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
- Assist Operations Manufacturing by analyzing failure trends to identify and resolve issues.
- Use software tools for scripting and troubleshooting.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Aviation.
- Coursework or practical experience in Systems, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Familiarity with test hardware such as DC power supplies, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and fiber optic scope meters.
Location & details#
- Location: Northampton, Massachusetts.
- Schedule: Full-time on-site role with a 9/80 work schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
