About the role#
As a Controls Engineer Co-Op at Metalsa, you will work alongside Controls and Reliability Engineers in an automotive manufacturing environment. This role provides direct exposure to shop floor operations and involves collaborating with various departments on projects that impact productivity and innovation.
What you'll do#
- Manage documentation for projects and standard work instructions to support systems and process controls.
- Assist Controls engineers with ongoing projects and site improvements.
- Partner with the Process Engineering Team on productivity improvements and special initiatives.
- Support the team with quoting, purchasing, implementing, and launching new processes.
- Provide hands-on assistance on the shop floor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related engineering field.
- Standing as a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior student.

- This position is located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
- This is an on-site, full-time role.
