About the role#
This Engineer Co-Op position provides hands-on experience in process engineering within a motor vehicle manufacturing environment. You will support machining and assembly operations by contributing to productivity, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a long-term commitment of at least 12 months.
What you'll do#
- Assist with improving current manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Analyze best practices, participate in problem-solving activities, and develop optimized manufacturing processes to meet plant goals.
- Support engineering change processes, including quoting, implementation, launch, and shop-floor support.
- Document process improvements, communicate updates, and support training initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on customer corrective actions and productivity projects.
- Contribute to process control systems, project documentation, standard work instructions, and equipment initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program for Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Standing as a junior or earlier, with at least one year remaining before graduation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Location: Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (minimum 25 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week).
