About the role#
This Engineer Co-Op role offers hands-on experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment. You will support machining and assembly operations while working on productivity, quality, and safety initiatives. This is a long-term position requiring a minimum commitment of 12 months.
What you'll do#
- Improve current manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, and safety.
- Document process changes, share updates, and help with training.
- Analyze best practices and participate in team problem-solving.
- Develop optimized manufacturing processes to reach plant goals.
- Work on process control systems, project documentation, and standard work instructions.
- Assist with engineering change processes, including quoting, launch, and shop-floor support.
- Coordinate with engineering and quality teams on customer corrective actions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor program for Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- You must be in your junior year or earlier with at least one year left before graduation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Location & details#
- Location: Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, between 25 and 40 hours per week.
- Preferred hours: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility to align with your school schedule.
