About the role#
As a Radiologic Student Technologist at Fairfield Hospital, you will work under the direction of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. This position supports our diagnostic radiology team by assisting with patient care and imaging procedures. This is a part-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Apply the art and skill of diagnostic imaging using ionizing radiation.
- Assist with the review of patient information for radiographic exams.
- Provide lifting assistance and escort patients to and from the Radiology department.
- Monitor patient conditions throughout their visit.
- Inform medical professionals about patient conditions and care needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited radiology program.
- Completion of at least one year of schooling with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (must be obtained prior to providing direct patient care).
