About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship lasting 10-11 weeks. Interns will gain exposure to global organizations and leadership teams while contributing to special projects and strategic business initiatives. The program includes educational and social programming, with housing assistance and relocation support available for eligible candidates.
What you'll do#
- Develop digital healthcare and virtual reality platforms to support collaboration between patients, doctors, and hospital networks.
- Apply human-centered design principles to improve system usability for employees and customers.
- Leverage data analytics and statistical methods to generate business insights for decision-making.
- Identify and recommend improvements to streamline business processes, applications, and systems.
- Assess global IT security and identify solutions to mitigate risk.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer information systems, business information systems, or a related field (with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028).
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the internship period.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Medtronic does not provide work authorization sponsorship for internship positions.
- Preferred qualifications include a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, AWS, SQL, or Python, and experience developing data visualizations or dashboards.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: On-site (minimum of 4 days per week).
- Compensation: Hourly rate between $23.25 and $33.25 per hour, determined by years of school completed.
