About the role#
McCormick & Company is hiring a full-time Trade Marketing Sales Intern for a 10-week program in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This role sits within the North American Consumer Products Division Sales Team. You will act as a bridge between Marketing and Sales, helping to translate brand strategies into effective retail execution. The internship runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027, requiring 40 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Analyze sales and market data to identify trends.
- Provide recommendations for annual business plans based on shopper insights.
- Use key business drivers including merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving to develop trade strategies.
- Support customer and category-specific projects.
- Build presentations and recommendations for various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Sales and Marketing departments.
- Work on real-world business challenges to drive performance metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Analytics, or a related field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex information.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Availability for occasional overnight travel.
