About the role#
This is a full-time, 10-week internship based in Geneva, Illinois. You will join the food technical team to support daily flavor customer activities. The role involves hands-on project work and collaboration with scientists and technologists across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Prepare samples, conduct testing, and gather data.
- Assist with flavor application, prototype formulation, and bench testing.
- Evaluate flavor technologies and perform competitive benchmarking.
- Work directly with the technical team to complete ad hoc projects.
- Cross train with other departments such as Sensory Science, QA/QC, Flavor Creation, and Sales/Marketing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate Junior, Senior, or graduate student in a relevant science program.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and a 3.3 GPA within your major.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Beginner cooking skills are required; intermediate skills are preferred.
- Experience in a laboratory or kitchen environment and data analysis skills are preferred.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and show initiative.
