About the role#
William Charles Construction is looking for an intern to join our team in New Albany, Indiana. You will assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager with daily operations, project planning, and site management. This role involves active participation in our construction projects, including estimating and quality control tasks.
What you'll do#
- Perform field survey work to track activities using GPS equipment and PC software.
- Manage quality control records and ensure project reporting is complete.
- Coordinate audits, inspections, and documentation for the project.
- Help with material inventory, receiving paperwork, and job closeout tasks like as-builts and job binders.
- Support subcontractor scheduling and process Request for Information submittals.
- Expect to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety and Health, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completed at least 24 college credit hours.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A basic understanding of construction industry practices.
- Ability to work in environments with dirt, heat, and noise.
- Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn.

- Location: New Albany, Indiana.
- This is a full-time, on-site internship.
- 100% project-specific travel is required.
