About the role#
We are looking for Field Engineer Interns to support our project team in Indiana. You will work directly with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to assist with site operations, quality control, and project documentation. This role is a hands-on opportunity to learn the construction industry from the ground up.
What you'll do#
- Perform field survey work for layout and tracking using PC software and GPS equipment.
- Manage quality control records and ensure reporting is accurate.
- Coordinate audits and inspections to keep the project on schedule.
- Handle material inventory and receiving paperwork.
- Assist with subcontractor scheduling and management.
- Prepare RFI submittals and help with final job closeout, as-builts, and job binders.
- Expect extended work hours and weekend shifts as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety and Health, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 24 college credit hours.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A basic understanding of construction industry practices.
- Ability to work in environments with dirt, heat, and noise.
- Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Work is on-site with 100% project-specific travel required.
- Locations include Terre Haute and Clinton, Indiana.
- This position does not offer company benefits.
