About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Field Engineer Internship for Summer 2027. You will support Project Managers and Construction Managers with the implementation of project-specific quality plans and site operations. This role is on-site and requires 100% project-specific travel.
What you'll do#
- Perform field survey work for layout and tracking of work activities using PC software and GPS field equipment.
- Manage quality control records and ensure required reporting is completed.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating audits and inspections.
- Handle material inventory and receiving paperwork.
- Support final job closeout, including as-builts and job binder creation.
- Assist with subcontractor scheduling and management.
- Process RFI submittals.
- Note that extended work hours and weekend work may be required.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field.
- Completed at least 24 hours of college credits.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Basic understanding of the construction industry and business practices.
- Ability to work in a team and handle deadlines.
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and clear communication.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Comfort with exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.

- Compensation: $20-$21 per hour.
