About the role#
As a Test Engineering Intern, you will join the Operations business group to verify the performance of silicon semiconductor chips. You will work alongside design teams to ensure chip features are testable and meet specifications. This role involves developing testing strategies, writing code, and ensuring that only high-quality units are released. You will work under the guidance of a mentor and team lead in an on-site environment.
What you'll do#
- Test features on silicon semiconductor chips.
- Write new code and develop testing strategies when chips exceed current testing equipment capabilities.
- Verify test programs across large quantities of parts.
- Flag parts with unexpected results for further investigation.
- Replicate work on the test bench and perform correlation exercises with design and verification teams to identify root causes.
- Conduct new silicon bring-up.
- Release sampling, qualification, characterization, and production test programs.
- Optimize test time and yield.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A basic understanding of hardware products, PCBs, electronics manufacturing, or product development processes.
- Coursework or project experience in electronics, circuits, embedded systems, manufacturing, or mechanical design is preferred.
- Ability to organize technical information, summarize data, and communicate clearly.
- Comfort working in a team environment and learning from engineers across multiple disciplines and regions.
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable law.
