About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Winter 2027. You will join our team to work on custom silicon for data centers. These chips support AI computing, networking, and infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced engineers in architecture, design, and verification to contribute to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Work with senior engineers on the design, implementation, and verification of digital hardware blocks and subsystems.
- Develop RTL, verification environments, test cases, scripts, and automation tools.
- Debug RTL, simulation, and timing issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time BS degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Completed coursework in digital circuits, Boolean logic, computer architecture, and basic circuit analysis.
- Experience with C, C++, or Python through projects or coursework.
- Experience with Verilog or SystemVerilog through projects or coursework.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- An interest in semiconductor design, verification, and hardware development methodologies.
- Previous internship, research, or project experience in hardware design or verification is an asset.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site in either Ottawa or Toronto, Ontario.
- This is a full-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
