About the role#
As a Test Automation Engineer Intern, you will join our Test Engineering team to develop and deploy software-based test methodologies for our RF and microwave products. You will apply software to automate manual testing, covering everything from equipment setup and calibration to data collection and product disposition. This role is based in our microelectronics manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Test Engineering to automate manual bench testing.
- Work hands-on with Engineering and Manufacturing Test teams to understand manual testing and data collection processes.
- Create or modify software code to automate manual test procedures.
- Troubleshoot test and measurement issues, including equipment setup, calibration, and test conditions.
- Develop and manage databases and analysis tools.
- Document your development work, including release notes, maintenance guides, and operator training instructions.
- Manage your priorities and communicate regularly with your manager regarding progress.
- Present project results to the management team at the end of your internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience using software to control hardware.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Python, or Matlab.
- Experience with common measurement automation and analysis tools.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Skill in generating and analyzing data efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to a hands-on approach within a team environment.
- Experience controlling automated RF and Microwave test equipment using SCPI protocol is a plus.
