About the role#
As a Financial Planning Intern at Mariner, you will work directly with staff members to support high net worth and ultra high net worth clients. This role focuses on holistic financial planning and client relationship management. You will gain hands-on experience in advisory, communication, and business development while supporting the team through the full client lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Support the client onboarding process by preparing and processing required paperwork.
- Assist with scheduling client meetings and create materials to explain financial concepts clearly.
- Participate in meeting follow-up tasks, including research, documentation, and solution development.
- Use CRM and financial planning software to manage data and assist with plan development.
- Help with data entry, plan modeling, and the assembly of plan deliverables.
- Contribute to team discussions regarding client service and business development.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor or master degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You have an expected graduation date within 12 months of the internship start.
- You demonstrate leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- You possess strong organizational skills and a customer service orientation.
- You can communicate complex topics in a simple, relatable way.
