About the role#
As a Financial Planning Intern at Mariner, you will support our staff in providing financial planning and relationship management for high net worth clients. This role focuses on building foundational advisory and communication skills through hands-on experience. You will assist with client onboarding, meeting preparation, and the development of financial plans.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and process paperwork for client onboarding.
- Schedule meetings and create materials to explain financial concepts.
- Document client meetings and conduct follow-up research.
- Use CRM and financial planning software for data management and plan development.
- Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling deliverables.
- Collaborate with the team on client service initiatives and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Finance or Business Administration.
- Graduation date within 12 months of the internship start.
- Leadership experience from work or extracurricular activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
