About the role#
Join us as a Disability Operations Co-op for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports our Group Benefits team by managing disability claims for our clients. You will connect with plan members, sponsors, medical professionals, and vendors to ensure effective claims management.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Case Managers, Disability Specialists, and Associate Managers.
- Conduct follow-up phone calls and send written communication to stakeholders.
- Perform functional telephone interviews with plan members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files.
- Assist with the payment of invoices and update plan member banking information.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program such as Nursing, Health Sciences, or Mental Health.
- Experience in customer service or administrative work.
- Basic knowledge of claims processing and health insurance.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
