About the role#
The Foreign Trade Intern supports the Foreign Trade and Customs team with daily import operations, compliance tasks, and administrative duties. You will work alongside the Team Lead and cross-functional teams to keep trade operations accurate and compliant.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with customs brokers and internal stakeholders to support import and customs operations.
- Review and process import documentation to ensure it meets customs regulations.
- Perform data entry and maintain trade records with high accuracy.
- Analyze existing procedures and help with process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor compliance with North American trade regulations and IMMEX/Maquiladora program requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, Foreign Trade, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of international trade, import/export processes, and customs operations.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and experience working with large volumes of data.
- Knowledge of North American trade practices and Mexico’s IMMEX/Maquiladora program is preferred.
