About the role#
MAHLE is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support our production facility in Russellville. This is a rolling internship opportunity for students currently pursuing an engineering degree. You will work on-site to support process improvements, documentation, and daily engineering operations.
What you'll do#
- Help develop process prints, future cell layouts, and facility moves.
- Assist engineers with the design and implementation of fixtures, tooling, and accessories.
- Participate in or lead problem solving activities on the plant floor.
- Create Manufacturing Instructions, Standard Work, and training documents.
- Conduct time studies and assist with routings.
- Collaborate with production staff and maintenance teams to resolve machine malfunctions.
- Manage data entry and maintenance of engineering items within SAP.
- Support Lean manufacturing teams through process analysis and value stream mapping.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year engineering program, specifically Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
- You should be 1-3 years away from graduation.
- A willingness to work in a plant environment.
- Preferred experience includes Excel, programming languages, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
- Familiarity with engine components or machining is a plus.
