About the role#
We are looking for a Human Resources Student to join our team in Woodbridge. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will support the HR Manager with daily administrative functions and help maintain the operational standards of our Production and HR departments.
What you'll do#
- Manage employee and temporary personnel files while ensuring documentation accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with administrative tasks for HR, Health, Safety, and Environmental departments.
- Prepare internal documents like memos and letters.
- Maintain internal communication channels and update team engagement scores in SharePoint.
- Support event planning for company social activities.
- Assist in preparing for HR and HSE audits while ensuring compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.
- Maintain the Hourly Performance Appraisal system.
- Handle front-office duties including greeting visitors, managing the contractor database, and directing phone calls.
- Coordinate office logistics such as ordering supplies, managing kitchen inventory, and setting up boardrooms for meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary degree program focused on Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- A self-starter mindset with strong active listening skills.
