Digital Marketing Intern

About the role#

LV Collective is seeking a Digital Marketing Intern to support the leasing and marketing efforts for Rambler Blacksburg, a student housing development near Virginia Tech. This role offers hands-on experience with inbound and content marketing strategies, content calendar creation, and marketing automation software. This is a paid internship running from August 2026 to December 2026, requiring 15 to 25 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Lead the creation of content for the property learning center and website to drive traffic through search, social, and email.
• Write and edit articles focused on the Virginia Tech lifestyle and off-campus living.
• Produce monthly email newsletters, covering copywriting, design, and distribution.
• Assist with website updates, including blog posts and landing pages.
• Create and design resources for the Learning Center, such as eBooks and fact sheets.
• Appear on camera to answer questions regarding student living near Virginia Tech.
• Assist in planning and directing photo and video shoots for social media and marketing materials.
• Help identify and recruit brand ambassadors for the project.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields.
• Strong grasp of Instagram and TikTok.
• Excellent oral and written business communication skills, with a strong command of English grammar.
• Access to a reliable computer and WiFi, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Experience managing social media, email campaigns, or websites for organizations or businesses is preferred but not required.
• Experience with WordPress, HubSpot, Asana, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or social media scheduling tools is a plus.

Location & details#

• This position is based in Blacksburg, Virginia. While the role is remote, you must be located on-site at Virginia Tech to perform duties, which include attending local events, photo shoots, and in-person meetings.
• A Canva Pro or Adobe Creative Suite license will be provided for your use.
