About the role#
Operations Student Leads provide leadership, training, and support for the Service Desk and Maintenance teams. You will act as the main liaison between Operations leadership and student workers. This is a paid position for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Use scheduling software to create monthly schedules for both Operations teams.
- Communicate with Service Desk workers regarding scheduling needs, timelines, and expectations while managing weekly hour maximums.
- Serve as the first point of contact for students who cannot fulfill their shifts.
- Provide training to Service Desk student workers on current processes, policies, and procedures.
- Act as a primary liaison for work assignments and general communication.
What you'll need#
- An ongoing commitment to advancing the Mission and Vision of Luther Seminary through the effective use and support of technology.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the motivation to proactively address issues and ask for help when needed.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Current enrollment in Business Administration or Operations Management programs.
