About the role#
This position supports the Student Affairs team by coordinating events and providing administrative assistance. You will work alongside other Community Life Fellows to foster engagement and manage office tasks. The role requires balancing multiple deadlines and working in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Plan and carry out community events, both in-person and virtual.
- Lead and support special campus projects like Orientation and Commencement.
- Provide administrative support in the Student Affairs office for 6-8 hours each week.
- Manage email communication and assist with special projects.
- Handle the Seminary Grocery Assistance Program, including placing orders, packing food, and tracking usage.
- Attend weekly team meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow FERPA guidelines.
- Participate in events outside of standard business hours, including some evenings and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in good standing at Luther Seminary.
- Experience in event management and organizational tasks.
- A background in customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort using Google Drive.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and work well with others.
