About the role#
Louisiana Blue is hiring a Security Operation Center Engineer Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a part-time, paid position based on-site in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. You will support our security team by monitoring systems and analyzing data to help identify potential threats.
What you'll do#
- Monitor security logs and use correlation software to track activity.
- Assist in the identification of intrusion attempts by gathering relevant information.
- Help monitor the overall security environment.
- Review current security technologies and stay updated on industry trends.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a Junior or Senior undergraduate, a graduate student, or a recent graduate.
- Concentration in Computer Science or Cybersecurity.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, with a 3.0 preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical thinking abilities and professional presentation skills.
- A self-motivated, team-oriented approach and the ability to adapt to changes.
- Previous knowledge of information technology, security systems, or applications is preferred.
