About the role#
The Connection and Belonging Intern supports our team in advancing inclusive workplace initiatives and community engagement. You will gain hands-on experience in employee network support, event activation, research, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to projects that promote belonging within the organization.
What you'll do#
- Research best practices and conduct benchmarking for Employee Networks.
- Coordinate projects and plan initiatives for Employee Networks.
- Maintain an inventory of promotional materials and identity items.
- Conduct research and analysis as directed by the Workforce Experience Connection and Belonging Director.
- Participate in business development and promotional activities.
- Engage with the business community at civic and Chamber events.
- Help activate corporate sponsorships at local nonprofit events.
- Respond to business surveys and conduct research as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, with 3.0 preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Good judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time internship scheduled for Winter 2027.
- The role is on-site in New Orleans, Louisiana.
- You must be able to commute to the office and attend local events.
- This position does not offer employer-sponsored immigration support.
